Speaking to silicon.com at the Tech Ed 2004 conference in Amsterdam this week, Microsoft's European general manager Philippe Dumont said there are cultural reasons for some governments wanting to limit dependency on US-based multinationals.

Linux sales in 2004 follows six consecutive quarters of double-digit growth for the free operating system during unprecedented legal attacks from SCO over the same period.

Parris is planting a new church in Charlotte, N.C., the Matheteuo Christian Fellowship. Matheteuo translates to "make disciples," and Parris has extended this directive to include Linux disciples. His PDF book, Penguin in the Pew has been downloaded more than 1,000 times.
